Thursday
We made and decorated gingerbread hands with Mrs Redman (our Resource Teacher for the Deaf). Some of the bigger children from Room 6 also helped us.
Next week we will use the photos from this experience to make a recipe book using Book Creator on our iPads.
We also showed the Room 6 children how we can introduce ourselves using Sign Language. They were very interested and had lots of questions about hearing loss.

Tuesday
Evelyn has been working really hard and has learned how to spell her name in NZ Sign language.
This afternoon our class took part in the first of our six drama workshops. The children learned to do 'silly walks' and to mirror the actions of their friends.
In Religious Education we learned about the Holy Spirit being like the breath of God in us. The Holy Spirit helps us to be the loving people God wants us to be - just like our breath makes a balloon what it is meant to be. The children have all taken a balloon home today.
